The current year is 2034. Since 2016 the world is quickly going to hell in a hand basket. When the covid pandemic hit, it opened for chaos to take the political reigns and through the country into a tailspin. Long story short, states ended up closing their borders to each other. New 'underground railroads' sprung up to those seeking more freedoms to escape to more liberal states. Minnesota has become an island state. The twin cities renamed themselves Freistatt, in hopes of boosting moral amid the goods scarcity at the time. (Read more on the wiki)

Trying to make their world better. Mages doing their best to uplift people even as vampires hunt them. Shifters trying to weed out the evil that has turned to polluting everything.
